Welcome from the Camp Director
Welcome to Camp Harbor!
My name is April Bier, and I am the Director of Summer Activities here at Camp Harbor. As a child I always knew that, no matter what I did in life, I would work with children. Growing up in a home with a mother who was an artist, we would always find creative ways to entertain ourselves. This is my favorite part of being a part of Camp Harbor - creating a fun, exciting camp schedule geared to all age groups.
A day at Camp Harbor is never the same. We provide a rotating schedule that keeps our days entertaining and our campers busy. Whether it is crafting a work of art, learning a new instrument or experimenting in our nature program, there are varied opportunities for our campers to explore, discover and create! Through it all, we make sure to provide a nurturing environment where children learn, make new friends and grow as individuals with groups led by NYS Certified teachers and counselors - many of whom attended our camp as children.
In addition to our on-campus programs, campers in 6th through 8th grade go on field trips several times a week visiting local venues and areas of interest around the island. While our PK though 5th graders remain on the campus, entertainment and engaging activities keep them busy throughout the summer.
Camp Harbor’s beautiful campus consists of 2 playgrounds, an outdoor classroom, a basketball court and an in-ground heated pool. Many of our campers excel in swimming with daily Red Cross swim instruction each morning and the opportunity to enjoy the pool in the afternoon, for free swim.
I invite you to learn more about Camp Harbor through the pages of this website, or by contacting me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or a private, in-person tour.
I look forward to having your child join us!
